When we choose the hinges, hanles and locks for our windows, we opt for the best on the market. Our hinges are top grade stainless steel and heavier duty than most use. Our handles are designed not to work loose in the first three months and are built to last. The same applies to our locking gearing. There is no point making a top quality window and fitting it with cheap hardware which will just result on loads of service calls!

When you have a window or an entire house full of windows and doors, after they are fitted you will need to have them FENSA registered. Without the certificate from FENSA you will not be able to sell your house should you wish to.
However with a conservatory things are not the same. No certificate is required as it is not structurally part of the main building. In a similar manner a porch is classed in the same way. This is of course all good news for the conservatory DIY 'er as there are only ....

We can supply our self build conservatories right across mainland England and Wales. However, because of the distances involved we do not cover Scotland.
We do not employ carriers for the specialized task of transporting our DIY conservatories. Instead we use our own dedicated transport at all times. Thus we know that your self build conservatory will arrive at your house as it left our factory.....

As well as keeping your house remarkably warm in winter, energy rated windows have the opposite effect in summertime. The interior of your house will stay cool, providing of course, that you dont open all of the windows up!....

Once your groundwork has been completed and you are happy that the base is as it should be, it is time to assemble the conservatory.
Ideally three people would be doing this although professional fitters work in teams of two. The more the merrier! Normally it will take a couple of days to put the whole thing up with part of a third day just to finish off the glazing and tidy up
Normal household tools are used but the addition of a cordless drill / driver will significantly speed the build up. ....

How much time have you actually spent out in your garden this year so far??? I would hazard a guess that it would not be too long. As soon as you sit out, the clouds roll in and the wind direction changes to a Northerly. Down comes the freezing wind, rain and anything else like volcanic ash.
BUT, if you had designed, purchased and built your own DIY conservatory a little earlier in the year, you could have been in it when the weather went wrong,sipping your glass of red and watching the weeds g....
